Is this normal for a Jeep TJ?

I just got a 2001 Automatic Jeep TJ and I'm not too sure on the characteristics on Jeeps, but I thought I'd ask.
Whenever i'm stopped, and shift any of my gears, the Jeep rocks forward. Stays in place, just the whole body rocks.
I notice it alot when I'm in park, then I shift the gear to reverse or drive. My foot's on the brake... so please dont suggest that I'm not braking lol
Normal? Problem?

Sounds like you either need new U joints in the drive shaft or you have too much back lash in the rear end.
It is not normal.
