I bought my 1997 Ford Aspire back in December of 09, for $500.00 but its been like a project needing work contently. The first thing i did was had a complete engine tune up, bought two new front tires, cleaned the interior all up etc. Bought a new radio and two new rear speakers. Had the cv. joints replaced, left wheel bearing replaced, interior light bulb, side light bulbs replaced, new die hard BATTERY, and just changed the oil again. The previous owners just used and used it, it has 114,000 miles on it now. i still need two back tires,motor mounts have to be replaced and rear lift gate hydraulic lifts. My concern is the car is supposed to get 40 mpg highway i'm only getting 30-33 sometimes only 25 and i have a light foot. My question is are these normal problems for a Ford aspire besides the regular matience? The engie runs great it really takes off and goes when it needs to though.... most of my driveing is on the highway...
