...suggestions do you have? My twin sister lives in KC, MO. She applied for Soc. Sec. Disability. She has a lawyer. She went to the disability hearing. The judge didn't have all of the info. when determining the case. He took my sister out into the hall, with her lawyer. The choice the judge gave her was to get disability from back to January of this year or not get it at all. Sounds like a bribe to me. And would be denied if she decided she wanted to go back 3 years, which is what is normally done.
Missouri got a judge from California to come in and hear the case, because they were supposedly backed up. How do we find out if this judge is legally licensed to preside in a court in MO, if he is from California ?
She was denied her disability and now has to be appealed Federally.
Basically the judge gave everyone the impression that he didn't want to be there and wanted to get this over as quickly as possible, no matter whose lives he was dealing with.
So my questions are...what do you think about a judge doing this legally and morally ?
And how do we find out if this judge is licensed in MO since he is from California ? I can't find a website.
OH...also...she is wanting to write a complaint about the judge. Does she do this before or after the Federal hearing ??? Keeping in mind, this is her last chance.
Note...before she decided on a lawyer, she asked her lawyer what percentages of cases she had won pertaining to Fibromyalgia.
They said 100%.
And after going to the idiotic hearing the lawyer said she hadn't ever experienced anything like that before.
If my sister does write a complaint, is it the obligation of the lawyer to write her witness account of the meeting with the judge or not ? ? ?
So far she is not committing to doing it.
Only serious answers please.
Thanks and Blessings, Sharon
