I have a 10gallon tank without any light, so i use a desk lamp 100 Watt a lightbulb one. Recently my tank heater broke and i just got a bach of fry's, the lamp helps heat the tank. So is this light too bright and what are the drawbacks? I've been using this to light up my tank for about a year now but i recently heard too much light is bad so i don't know whether this would have an effect of my fish or not.

Thanks

Too much light can stress out fish.

Fish are encouraged to be active while there is light but when there is darkness, they will be in a state of rest.

So no darkness=no rest.

Turn the light off at night. As long as it doesn't fall below 73F, they'll be fine. =]
