I recently found out about a guy that is going around Chicago claiming to be a part of the Adult Film industry looking to sign women to contracts. He set's them up for what he calls an audition and says there are no strings attached, if the person passes the audition they could be signed and make money, if not then the girl is up the preverbial "creek". He has sex with these women and then tells them "Sorry, we went with a different choice." We also know he is definitely not a member of the Adult Film Business. Is this Legal? Can this guy be charged with anything? I know these women are very gullible to actually do this but I'm not here to argue that, I just need to know if it was illegal in any ways?

Thanks
Should also indicate there is no contract at all besides him mentioning they "could" be signed to one. Essentially, he says all of this, sleeps with them, and cuts them loose.
Oh also if it IS illegal, what statues or laws make it illegal? Just wondering...

Well if it's listed in the contract then there is no legislative illegality of the action. ON THE OTHER HAND, if he's forcing them (rape), to have sex with him that's illegal.

if its consenting adults, well, they fell for the B.S.
REAL talent scouts don't have sex with the women they recruit for work in any bit of the film or theater business.
But hey, whatever this clown can get away with....
