Is this legal ? Any good way to complain?

The apartment I live at will have plumbing constraction to hook up washer and dryer for future residence. They ask me to take out all the stuff in the closet( the closet is right behind the plumbing area), and clear the kitchen and bathroom area. The contraction will take for a month. Can apartment do that while there is a resident ? I thought they should wait till resident move out to do any construction in the room. My husband went to complain that to the leasing office, but they said they have right to do it....what do you think?
 
There is no way that can be legal. You have a right to your privacy and your home. I say that if the leasing office wont listen take legal action.
Tell them that you will see them in court and then do just that.
You are intitled to your home.:)
