Back in February, I got hit in the left testicle (while lying down) by a full, unopened can of Pepsi. After the pain did not go away for a week, I went into the doc. It became a long process....blah blah blah. The bottom line - I eventually got an ultrasound and everything came back normal.
Since then, however, I have experienced pain down there. NEVER excruciating, but it's still there. If I touch it for a minute, it will hurt a bit. If I start to run, and it moves around, it will hurt a bit, etc. Me, being the ridiculously anxious person I am, have begun to worry. Today, I felt a bit of pain, and told myself right away it was cancer. Yes, that's really the way my brain works (I really have severe anxiety problems). So all day, I've been feeling down there, trying to find the source/lump/oddities.
I found a lump. There's nothing really visible that would indicate that this is not normal. It's just a bit of a hard lump that has a decent size in terms of length. It's on the left testicle. I did a little research, and figured out that this is most likely the epididimys. That's what I figured was the case from the beginning, but I am still worried. My left testicle has ALWAYS been more sensitive than the right, a little bigger than the right, and hangs a little lower than the right.
Sometimes the lump is hard to find, so it's certainly inconsistent (as is the pain). I'm only 17, and am very self-conscious about my body. Am I overreacting?
