The topic was:
Think about the novel Animal Farm that we read in class. At the end of the novel napoleon returns the farm to its original name. why does he do this?
explain your answer by comparing and contrasting the farm from the beginning of the novel to what it is at the end of the novel. be sure to include many (and that part is underline) examples from the story to support ou position.
i'm in eighth grade and that is for reading final exams.
here is what i have:
At the conclusion of Animal Farm, Napoleon, the farm’s ultimate leader, decides on changing the farm’s name from Animal Farm back to Manor Farm. I would opine Napoleon did this because in order to become more human; It is apart of the book’s symbolism. Before the animals rebelled and overtook it, the Farm was called Manor Farm. However, after the rebellion, the animals chose the name Animal Farm as a way overwrite Jones’s and the rest of the Human Race’s essence of ever being there. This shows a transition
from the power of hands (human) to the power of hooves (animal). However, when the animals were in power, the oppression was supposed to change, but it did not, and the animals, or followers could not tell a difference between the man and the ruler, napoleon because the pigs had filled the shoes of man. Now that it is back to Manor Farm, the animals have made the transformation of animalism to a human lifestyle. This is an example of irony because when the pigs changed this, they had become what they didn’t want to in the first place and it also shows that the pigs are now completely ruling over the farm.
