Hi, I live in NYC. I was outside my apt building around 1 am and the police pull up in an unmarked minivan. They stopped, stared me down and when I saw the guy was a cop I ran inside my building then apt and the cop chased me to my door and tried to force his way in but I shoved the door and locked it. There was no probable cause before I ran. Is there a chance they will show up with a warrant tomorrow morning.
NYPD is not pleasant to deal with in my neighborhood, especially at a time of night where there aren't many witnesses. I ran simply because I have had some very unfair and unpleasant experiences with them in the past.
I was also wondering if anybody knew if I broke the law at all since they never actually said a word to me outside of "Hey" while about 30 feet away. Since I was never placed under arrest or even converse with them did I actually "evade" arrest
