Is this consider a apocalyptic lightning storm.?

Ok I heard about a craziest lightning storm where lightning would strike and hit the ground like crazy all over a city causing lots of accidents and damage. Each lightning strike would hit the ground. Lightning storms like that don't happen that often. So is that considered a apocalyptic lightning storm.
