Whether you are a budding Grandmaster or a complete beginner, you will be guaranteed a warm welcome at the thriving and popular Hake.

TIMETABLE
The club meets every Friday at 6 for adolescents under 20 and at 7.30 for older members.
MEMBERSHIP
Membership is open to anyone aged 14 – 28, divided into categories:
Teens:
- Starters
- Advanced
Adults:
- Enthusiasts
- Experts
These are run by guiders and usually the most experienced players are on hand to give advice to less experienced ones.
MATERIAL
There is a variety of equipment: not only there are dozens of sets but also computers to play with even foreigners in organized turns!
COMPETITIONS
Competitions are not compulsory, but a choice for anyone.
The club provides a range of competitive matches:
Every year, three times months meetings are arranged take place on Saturdays for participating in matches and final winners of each category get a special prize and diploma that allows them to join other activities of the institution for free!
And for the most experienced ones, there is an annual competition among chess clubs for both young and adult players, with important financial awards!
EXTRAS
One of the most popular features is our coaching programme for juniors, which works on both Friday and Saturday at the end picking them home.
Plus, members have the opportunity to join in the many social activities run by the leisure centre for a lower cost.
