Is this combination in mtg un-sporting?

In my mtg games with my freind i used this combination in my deck:
4 mana reflections so 1 forest could tap for 16 mana!
and an oracle of nectars to tap all of these and gain life equal to mana in mana pool.

My freinds told me this was un-sporting and i just want some other oppinions.
