Is this book considered as narrative nonfiction? PLEASE HELP?

Okay so I have to do an English project using an expository text, and I'm not allowed to use a book that is narrative nonfiction. I got a book about Polar Bears and it's written by a polar bear researcher who goes out into the Arctic and researches polar bears... the book has details about one of his journies and it includes facts about polar bears too. There is one tiny section in the book that says like "the next day we returned..." Would this book be considered as narrative nonfiction? :( PLEASE HELP! :(
