hi,
im 17 in a few months and i', looking at buying a 125cc bike

i have a peugeot speedfight now and i dont like the 'twist 'n' go' side of things so i want something geard to learn on and take my test but also to use for a year or two after takin my test

i was thinking something along the lines of a yamaha ybr 125. but i dont think its going to be all that powerfull as i will want to carry a pillion.

can anyone tell me if its ok for this or recommend a reliable 125 that will carry 2 (only for a short distance of about 3 miles)

Not a good choice for two up but if it's only for a few miles I guess you could put up with it. YBR is a sensible choice to learn on, it's not sporty so insurance should be cheaper. It will be a bit more comfortable than a race rep for your pillion too once you've passed your test.
 
you do know you need to pass your full test to carry a passanger and if u want a quick bike get a 2 stroke sports bike there good not always the comfiest of bikes but ok for shorts 10 mile trips or so
