YOU should have suggested wife drive, told him not to drive and be ignored yes.
Call the cops about a drunk driver,not a cop. DEFINITELY your business, their business, every ones business.
 
I went to my employer's sons 3rd b-day party, and I met a cop (friend of my boss) there. He was drinking beer non stop from 3pm - 7pm. 7pm is when he got in his car and drove off with his wife, who is also a police officer. What should I have done? Is this none of my business?

Of course that is your business.

You should have either encouraged him not to drive, called the police to report a drunk driver, or both.

The fact that he's a cop does not make it okay to drive drunk.
