i posted on the women's health board about having slight chest pains. i started wondering if those pains were due to anxiety, and after reading some of the posts here, i'm almost convinced that's what it is.
here's what happens to me...
just out of the blue, i'll get sharp but quick chest pains. they're nothing too bad at all and they usually only last a few seconRAB and they are gone. but the more i think about the pains, the worse they get and the more frequent they become, then i'll start thinking i'm about to have a heart attack. (i'm 28 and perfectly healthy to my knowledge) sometimes i'll get bouts of lightheadedness or get dizzy, but nothing that walking around outside doesn't help.
the reason i think it's anxiety is the past 2yrs have been tough. within 10 months i graduated college, got engaged, got pregnant, got married, had a baby, and bought a house. shortly after buying our house, my grandmother went into the hospital and died 3 months later. during that time, my mother was diagnosed with extremely high blood pressure so ALL i did was worry about her. i'm an obsessive worrier (runs in the family) to the extent of when i hear an arabulance pass by our house, i load my baby up and drive around to where my loved ones are making sure they are ok. after having my baby i had slight PPD, but i figured i was over that by the time she turned 7mos. it seems all i do is worry about my family.
i guess what my question is, could all of the worrying i'm doing be causing my chest pains and lightheadedness? or is this anxiety?
