sex in previous civilizations? Best Answer - Chosen by Asker
I have to say, I disagree with most of the reactions you've gotten from people about this question. People seem to have forgotten that in Ancient Greece, for instance, having sex with young children was not only considered perfectly fine, but beneficial to the child. It was something the lucky kids got to do.
I have no desire to have sex with children myself, but I reject the idea that a society could carry on like that for so long if this was something that was genuinely that harmful to children. It's not like it was only slave children who were put in this position. The idea was the child would receive his education from the adult, and would hopefully grow to hold a similar rank in society as the adult who assisted her/ him. If this was so harmful, why didn't all those children start complaining about the practice once they'd grown up? Why did they continue to let it happen to their children and others?
