Is this an awful 800 time?

Sophomore guy with asthma. I know I'm not good but is a 2:27 800 really bad?
I just ran a 2:27.0 today with my best from last year being a 2:29.2.

How do I improve my 400/800 and even 1600 (5:57 a few days ago, 5:49 best)? I ran the 4x400 for the first time and got a 62.4 (ran 400 once 8 days ago where I got a 64).

I want to get a 2:15 with a 2:19 at the worst by the end of the season. Help? And what is my best event? I know I'm not too skilled, but I'm willing to work hard.
Last year: 1600- 5:49.0 800- 2:29.2, never ran 400

This year:
4/6- 2:34.0 800m split, 64 400m, 6:09.5 1600m (not the best partially because I ran it before my 400), and a 2:42.8 800. Horrible weather.

4/9- 2:42.0 800m split, 5:57.0 mile

4/14- 800 relay split unknown, 2:27.0 800m, 62.4 400m
If any of this information helps.....

Last year dropped from 6:16.0 and 2:45.0 in the 1600 and 800, to a 5:49.0 and 2:29.2, respectively.

5:49 (83, 91, 92, 83)
2:29.2 (73, 76)

2:27.0 (either 73, 74 or 74, 73....I think I got a 74, 73)
I got 4th place in a dual meet- our star freshman won with a 2:19. Second and third were a 2:21 and 2:24, respectively but I ran out of gas chasing 2 and 3 a little too early.

Your 800M time is very good for an early in the season sophomore. A 2:20 -2:25
should get you in the top four in a local dual meet, unless you're in a big city school. Stick with the 800;This is you distance.
Your 400 & 1600 times are not that competitive.
I'm sure you've done the math. A 2:15 800M would require 67 & 68 average splits. Maybe next year with motivation & concentration. That would put you in the running with the big guys.
