Plan:
-Go enlisted with the US Army and serve 4 years as an Airborne Ranger
-Somewhere during my 3rd/4th year go through SFAS to join the Special Forces
-Complete Special Forces qualification and training
-Leave the military after my 4 years are up for roughly 3 years to finish my college Bachelor's degree
-Come back an officer in the Special Forces
Is this plan viable? I know Special Forces looks for long-term commitments in its candidates, so going through SFAS in my last year or so of duty may be an automatic disqualification from SFAS (selection).
Other proposed plans (or revisions to my own plan) are welcome.
Thanks in advance!
