Several days ago it started to sting when I peed. I used to work in a doctors office so I called my friend and she called in strong antibiotics for me. The stinging has gone away but I realized that the last time I had a bladder infection I had an increased urge to urinate and discharge (sorry tmi) but this time I didn't have that. I only had the stinging. I am in a monogamous relationship so it's not an std. (Yes, I'm sure.) I also have a IUD in my uterus. This is the third month that I have had it in. I am calling my doctor tomorrow. I was out of state all weekend so I couldn't see her earlier. I also have missed my period. But that happened before the UTI started. I have not taken a pregnancy test yet but I do not think I'm pregnant. (I got engaged and quit my super stressful job recently so those life-changing events could throw my period out of whack I suppose.) There is a lot of information here I'm sorry. I'm just very confused. My question is, can it still be a UTI if there was NO increased frequency to urinate, no abnormal discharge, and no strong urge to urinate when I go? Any information you can give me is VERY much appreciated. Sorry this is long... Thank you!!!
