just want to know if this is a scientific reason. I have a friend who seems to have a hard time absorbing what you tell him, it seems like he'll understand something after he hears it from you 3 times. At first i thought he needs to work on his listening skills, but then it seems that his younger brother has this problem too, but to a different extent. His brother would sometimes ask me questions that i already answered for him a few hours ago, or sometimes would answer my questions differently without really getting into my real question, like he would answer something else, or sometimes takes my contexts in a different way when i tell him something. So then i thought, maybe my friend just has this communication issues running in his family genes. Could it be possible that someone can have genes that make you incapacitated to comprehend simple matters that you hear? If so, maybe my friend or his brother just need special ways of talking to them when someone converses with them due to the different way their minds process. Could this be a scientific reason and not really psychological?
i feel like i blamed something on them that's not really their fault, and if i did i would really be more curious of the real reason here
