After the Civil War when slavery was 'abolished' (i put it in brackets because the law said one thing, and the reality was another)
If the American government at the time, received petitions from those former slaves (which they did) but they refused to pay it, and then they waited till everyone who was actually a slave died, so that they could use the argument that anyone who wasn't actually a slave deserved reparations, would they be okay with that
Cons said they had no problem with this?
