I live in California and a work for a big security company. This happened early one morning, I get to work and I clock in and find out I am working with one other coworker. We start to look for our orders (they are normally in a binder) come to find out they aren’t there. I asked for them from a super visor and was told that he would bring them to me. Me and my coworker have the same orders and knew where to go and what to do due to the fact we worked these orders before. He was posted on one floor and I was posted on another floor. I knew that the supervisor worked graveyard from the night before and might be hard from him to get them to me before he clocked out. well I was 9.5 hours into and a new gun hoe supervisor comes up to me saying where are your orders I told him that I would not have them and that they should be on the other floor due to the fact that the supervisor was to bring them to where we were working. And it would be odd if I were to have them because I was not in the right spot for signing in people to the building. He told me that my coworker does not have them and he said that I might. Then I said that the graveyard supervisor told me that he would bring them to us when he had a chance. The supervisor got a little weird and that he said that if he asked the other supervisor that he would say that what I am saying was true and that he had not had a chance to make it out to my location to drop off the orders. I said yes that what should happen..... A couple weeks later I get called into the office after one of my shifts had a supervisor say that I have a write up for what had happened that day. The right up was for an act of dishonesty saying when we asked the other supervisor he said that I asked for other things and not the orders. Since the right up was for and act if dishonesty this is saying that I am a dishonest person and a dishonest worker would this fall under defamation of charter? Since I have learning disorder dyslexia and suffer for short term memory loss which is documented. Could I have a case? my other angle is that I am trying to get into law enforcement and that could disqualify me for a position, due to the fact that I have to disclose any Wright ups from and all previous jobs.
