I am currently employed at a small business with only 4 employees, 1 cleaning lady, the boss's son and the boss working there. I have been at my job for 5+ years and have been finding it hard to work for the last 2 years. My boss tends to hire workers that he sleeps with and has on and off again relationships with. This has been causing conflict since he will take his on/off GF's side when ever she has a problem. She has gone as far to make up accusations and then have my boss tell me "I have beef with you" (exact words) When I confront him about false accusations he just tells me it's not his fault since he was lied to. I have been accused of stealing in front of my customers. I have been making the same wage since 2006 and the gf and other employees start out at the same pay as me. The boss tells all of us we are not allowed to have customers help us stock our bottles and pop because it is continuously stocked wrong, but the gf still has a customer go back there and stock it (even though he does it wrong) She knows she can get away with anything and uses it to her advantage. Another example is that she always arrives to her shift about 5-10 minutes late expecting us to wait every time. My boss has even taken her on a motorcycle run and brought her back to work WASTED and 45 minutes after shift change. Since she is with the boss we have no power. My final problem is that we are all paid the same wage, but she gets about 3/4 of her hours paid in cash so that she can pay low rent on her income based housing. On top of it all he fires and breaks up with her weekly and then she complains to us and he is crabby and rude to work with because hes stressed out about her. IS THIS CONSIDERED HOSTILE?? I do not want to quit unless I can collect some kind of compensation.able to
