Is this a good way to confess? (10 points)?

I've been crushing on a girl whose also a friend of mine. There's an elevator at our school that's pretty old, and stops whenever you slide open the inner door. She always takes this elevator because she hurt her leg and can't walk up the stairs. I'm planning on taking the elevator with her after class (hopefully while she's alone) and stopping it in the middle of the ride so I can tell her how I feel without any distractions. Of course, there's the very likely possibility that I will get rejected, so the rest of the ride might be awkward, but my goal is just to get my feelings across, nothing more nothing less.

Is this too bold? Would this scare her off considering that this is something that most people wouldn't expect me to do?
 
Don't stop the elevator.Tell her how you feel while the elevator is moving.Then when it gets close to the end stop the elevator so that IF she rejects you the ride won't be so long.And WHEN she accepts you you can have a while in the elevator to talk a little more.But try not to freak her out.Some people get kind of scared when elevators get stopped.(i.e. me).It is VEEEEEEEEEEEEERY romantic of what you're thinking of doing.I wish we had more guys like you.
