"Alejandro" by Stefani Germanotta, always known as her stage name, Lady GaGa is a poem about the fear of sex monster. It has ten stanzas and a rhyme scheme of ABCD, EFGGHIJG, KLMM, NDOPQRNSDD, TT, UVWXW, KLMM, NDOPQRNSDD, BDNPODQP, NDOPQRNSDD. This poem uses alliteration, simile, and personification to highlight the authors theme. The theme of this poem is the one she's in love with is in love with another, but she is leaving him. She doesn't want to be controlled by her emotions for Alejandro. She doesn't want Alejandro who wants Fernando, who reminds her of her previous love Roberto.
There is alliteration in this poem. An example of this is "Don't wanna kiss, don't wanna touch". It means that she wants to be left alone and forget about what has happened between them.
Another literary element in the poem is a simile. An example is for this is "But her boyfriend's like a dad, just like a dad". It means that the boyfriend is like a father to her.
In this poem, there is also personification. An example of this is "She hides through love, En su bolsillo". She is hiding her love right in front of him where he doesn't see it.

For example: her fear of love monster, fear of alcohol monster, fear of sex monster. In this song i chose "Alejandro", which is her fear of sex monster, GaGa is saying goodbye to all her past lovers. It is symbolic of her moving on.
