The Downcast’s Purple Jacket
Is there a reason the girl in the purple jacket never stops to think?
About…
Herself. Mostly.
Seeing the world through sepia is never enough.
Fractured bricks, splitting roofs, cloudy cement
She loves it all.
For some reason, the cloudy cement makes perfect sense…
But everything else is cloudy in the most ghastly way.
She has her languages
And her soldiering
Her via dolorosa
And her despondency.
She hates them all.
Like I said…
They all look ghastly through sepia
But should she encapsulate them on film
They are the most sublime things
Her sepia eyes could see.

(I might explain it later, if you don't get it. Sepia is another word for brown eyes as well as the camera term.)
