is this a good place to start? (exercise?)?

Ok so I used to be really into running, and I was training for a half-marathon. Then i threw out my shoulder and had to get surgery. Since then, I haven't been able to run. Its been about 9 weeks total that I haven't been running (or really doing any cardio, other than light walks), because of my shoulder. I ran for the first time again today, and was able to run 3 miles in 28.5 minutes. I know I am ridiculously out of shape, but is this at least a decent place to start considering I haven't run???
