Hi, my name is ______. On behalf of the graduating 8th graders, I would like to welcome you all to _______'s graduation ceremony.

For some reason, there’s a part of me that doesn’t want to let go. Don’t get me wrong, I’m really excited for high school but I’m sure we can’t help ourselves from reminiscing about the memories we’ve made these past three years.

Good times or bad times, you know we’ve all had our share. Some days can be harder then others, but hey, look at us now. I have grown up and learned a lot since I’ve been here. This last school year has been a ton of work and a great deal of stress for me and all of the other graduating 8th graders, but now, we are done and all of our heard work is paying off.

“Life can only be understood looking backward. It must be lived forward.” Our lives are just beginning, the rest is still unwritten. There are so much more of our lives to come; we have to write our own story and make it happen. You can make whatever you want out of life, but you’re in control to finish writing your story.

I want to thank some special people right now because it was the only way I could think of to show them how much I appreciate them.

- First, I want to thank my family. Without you, I would not be here today or on the road to where I am going tomorrow.
- I’d like to thank the teachers here at this school that motivated me, inspired me, and taught me so many important lessons - not only educational, but also about life. These teachers include __________________________________________ .
- The _______ club. We’ve cried together, laughed together. I can honestly say that you guys are like my second family.
- Last but not least, I would like to thank my friends here at _____ who has made a difference in my life by making my middle school years fun & enjoyable. Thank you for sticking by my side, through thick and thin, at my best and even at my worst.

I will never forget any of you. Thanks for making my years at ______ incredibly amazing.
