I'm thinking of writing an ode to someone who is probably the most humble and caring person I know, but they really disappointed me personally. I'm not going into detail, but they kind of turned their back on me and left me in the dust, and I don't think they know it. I'm going to make the poem really uplifting and full of praise, but a few subtle lines saying how they hurt me.
So it's like "Hey, you're so humble and caring, and such a great guy, BUTTTTTTTT you kinda hurt me".
Not exactly like that, but you get the idea. Does an ode have to be focused solely on happiness?
Thanks
