Is this a good deal? Ford Galaxy?

I found a 1971 Ford Galaxy for $875 that runs. It has 94,000 miles on it. I need a car bad, and this is the cheapest one I can find. It needs a paint job and it has minimal rust. But I have heard that the older cars do not make it much past 100,000 miles. is that true? is this a good deal?

I need a car because I live half an hour away from town or any stores. I live up in the mountains.
