Is this a good deal for the iPhone?

With my company's discount, I can do AT&T's 450 Rollover Minutes Plan plus the Unlimited Data plan for $55.99 a month? It seems like with the iPhone, that for every con that people have, there's about 5-10 pros. Should I wait to see if a better iPhone comes out? Check out Verizon? I really don't text (probably wouldn't need to if AIM is free on the iPhone), and really don't even take pictures or video with my current phone, nor do I talk a lot. Thank you for the help all! Just trying to do some research!
