I'm doing a project... the truck has a 300 inline 6 currently,, would I have to swap out the transmission and transfer case? it currently has a 4 speed manual...

That seems like a lot to pay for a motor. There are millions of 5.0's out there in junk yards that will give you close to 300 horse power and not cost you over 2000 bucks. I know you want that 351 but with only 250 to 280 horse power you could do that with a 302 with a lot less money. Go to any junk yard and stumble over one. If you were patient you could find a 302 with low mileage for around 700 to 800 $. Can here in Georgia.

Should bolt right up the the transmission you have. research it though..

Maybe someone else can tell you. But it looks like a good motor.

trucks are cheap right now, you could probably find one with a v8 for the price of the engine you want, save you a lot of time and headaches..
