Is this a good car????? HELP i know nothing about cars?

My uncle passed away last May. His last wish was for me to get a car where he knew that I would be safe in. His only wish was I finish college (which I would do anyway). I don't know anything about cars. But his daughter called my mom and told her that they are giving me his old car as soon as they fix it up (it has a broken something in it).

I was just wondering if it was a good car? It's a 2002 dodge neon. All I know about it is that its a dark red color.
