Is this a free MSN Client or am I crazy?

I just came across this while I should really be working. http://mobile.msn.com/ac.aspx?cid=uuhp_messenger. This may allow you to use SMS or data, I'm not sure. Does anybody know?
 
It redirects SMS messages the same way AIM does.
As for the data, it works using the wap browser.

I dont think there's an app to be installed.
 
Can you explaine how this works using Data? Myself along with many others will be very excited if we can use MSN on our phones with data not SMS.
