I am a freshman in high school and I like a sophomore girl. There is a dance coming up at our school and I would like to ask her to go with me. I would also like to ask her out. I was wondering is this plan cute or creepy?
I am known as the guy with gum at my school and I give it to everyone, anyway, I plan on giving her a piece of gum that has "Dance?" written on the wrapper and before I give it to her mention "These new wrappers are so cool, I think most of them have messages on them".
Q: Is this a cute or creepy way to ask her to the dance?
BQ: If I ask her this way is it obvious I want to go to the dance as more than friends?

BBBQ: We are friends, I mean not close, but we are friends. I'm not the most attractive guy and she doesn't seem like she likes me more than a friend. Even if I'm not her crush, is this sweet enough to convince her to go to the dance with/date me?
