Is there too much pressure put on students in the UK Education System?

I'm a Londoner in my last year of high school. I'm on track to leaving with around 10 GCSEs all at A to A* grade. I plan to go on through College and Uni, but I know alot of people don't.....

I personally think that the pressure put on students to achieve very high standards is massive, and I think the content of what is taught in schools lacks the foundations and most important things which I believe are vital to the youth, the future of society and are more important than intelligence: moral values and the knowledge that their is more to life than being on a top wage, things such as happiness, love, and being a 'good' person getting by on an average wage.

What do you think?

No, I think schools are fine.
It's just the cooleges that put pressure on.
With the requirements, and etc.
I mean some colleges say " we want 10 A*'s"
wth!
