Is there such thing as a sports bike undercover police officer? LOL just curious ?

im just curious it may sound dumb but on the road i see police officers on motorcycles and also you see your typical officer on a crown vic

but then you see undercover cops in vehicles but i never heard of undercover cops on sports bikes???

police officers on motorcycles i believe is to hand out tickets mostly
and if any arrests you radio for a vehicle.

but what about an undercover on a sports motorcycle doing the exact same thing handing out tickets and able to catch any sucker!!
and obviously if any arrests are needed you radio for a vehicle.....
 
Yes, some Police forces do have officers that ride scrambler motorbikes. These officers usually attend search & rescues cases, in mountainous areas, where the Police Land rovers can not gain access. I watched it on ITV's Night-Watch a few weeks ago. I didn't see them handing out any ticket though, just a few warnings, but that's not to say that they don't hand any fines out.
 
yes there are trail bikes, bmw cruisers and sports bikes all in use in Victoria, unmarked
 
Your question is not "dumb" and,yes there are a number of forces who,on a regular basis use undercover police motorcyclists and,there a number of reasons for this.Apart from normal undercover work in towns and cities they are actively used in rural areas where a lot of kids ride illegal bikes off road however,as a rule normal police officers use the usual standard bikes for traffic violations.
