into 91 kawasaki vulcan? I've been trying to replace a bad switch in a kawasaki 1500 vulcan with one from a 1985 mazda 626 diesel which appears to be an identical switch. So I've ordered two from a local auto parts store and both were closed at room temperature AND didn't turn off when thrown into boiling water. The temp rating printed on the switch is 97C, so boiling water should definitely trigger them. Well now I've ordered one on-line and it too is closed at room temperature. Is it possible I got three bad switches? All three times it's been a name brand switch (supposedly good quality, Japanese made).
Before any of you low octane answerers chime in with "You should buy a Kawasaki switch" this one is much cheaper and, had the first one been "good", gotten much sooner.

here's the switch in question
