is there something you can put on a wall to make paint come out brighter?

im gonna paint my room yellow and i want it to come out bright. its a brighter shade but i just wanna no if theres anything to ensure it comes out bright.
 
1) Start with a good primer
2) Choose a high gloss paint: this is the paint that has the most sheen and it also cleans up pretty well.
3) or choose a neon yellow for the extreme
