Is there something wrong with my voice?

I sing and I can go into the high notes, like Mariah Carey, but when I do go high sometimes like there is a noise coming out behind it that I can't control and am not purposely doing, and it's frustrating because sometime it doesn't and sometimes it does so is there something wrong with my voice. And I am a guy if that makes a difference
