Is there something fundamentally wrong with the judging in boxing?

Look at all the scorecards for the fights on the card last night. What's up with the disparities? I know some judges value one aspect over another, but recent bouts have made it apparent that some judges write in their scorecards before hand or are talking on their cell while drinking tea during the fight. 114-113 for Rocky Juarez vs John? How did Marquez get 2 rounds on William Lerch's card? 116-112 for Escebedo over Katsidis?

What is going on here? These commissions need to start fining judges for egregious scoring. Again, I know one guy appreciates aggression while another might value ring generalship and yet the other prefer clean, effective punching. But when you clearly lose a round all that becomes moot.
