Is there software to sync iPhone with Outlook?

I really like the iPhone a lot.. but right now I am using a Palm Treo 750 with Windows Mobile 5 because I need the ability to sync with my Outlook for work.

I think I read somewhere that you can connect to Outlook on the iPhone using IMAP, but it is not a true sync like with ActiveSync.

Is there any 3rd party software that allows this to happen on the iPhone?

Remotely? Or does iTunes need to be installed on the same machine where Outlook is installed?

So how come people have been making a big deal about the iPhone not syncing with outlook? Do they really mean that the iPhone can't, but iTunes can? Is this a true sync, the same as ActiveSync on Windows Mobile?

basically what i want to happen is get all of my Outlook emails, calendar, and contacts to my phone. And if i make changes to any of those on my phone, i want it to sync back with exchange. Can this happen with iPhone or iTunes?

itunes does this all. But it needs to be on the same computer where all your info is on.

but it doesnt do it over the air, right? you have to connect to your computer via USB to sync?
