Is there slippery slope that can lead a mild mannered atheist (like myself) towards the desire to slap theists?

I've noticed that these days it is not enough that I make a mockery out of theists (in both formal and informal discussions/debates both online and in real life)... I don't quite get the same kick out of it anymore. I supposed I've built up a tolerance to it! I'm beginning to wonder whether a firm backhanded slap to the face of my ignorant adversary will give me the buzz that I yearn for!

Does it seem like I am slowly but surely sliding down that slippery slope towards slapping someone?
