You can never defeat terror. It will always exist. Now this whole "war on terror" thing I believe is what they government of the UK, US and other western countries are using to play on our fears. All for the sake of natural resources and to bring in tighter security measures which do restrict our freedoms. Who are those profiting from the so called war on terror?

I am grateful for the tighter security measures. They wouldn't be in place if they weren't needed. We do have an enemy within our midsts.

No such thing as a "War on Terror". Just the result of a meeting of desperate lunatics, just after 11/9 ,looking for a catchphrase that allows the US to kick doors in the World over, using 11/9 as the licence.
No such thing as a "War on" ANYTHING. War, or A war, is state of on/off violence pertaining between two factions of a similar nature, as in two TRIBES, two FAMILIES, two COUNTRIES, etc. Ergo a protracted conflict between a TOWN and a COUNTY is not possible, a COLOUR and a SHAPE neither, nor a group of GROCERS versus the ISLE of MAN. Nor, more relevantly, is a "war" possible between the WEST and "TERROR". A war between a group of countries and a STATE OF MIND? Anybody swallows that is too AFRAID to gag on it.

Short version is the WoT is the latest in a long line of STOOPID CATCHPHRASES trumped up by the US so it can do what it wants, worldwide. "Proliferation" is another example--use of that term lets THEM keep THEIR nukes, stops OTHERS from acquiring them. Neat. Just about sick and tired of American BULLSH1T that people have to pretend to accept or else.

Ask yourself..Why did the 9-11 attacks happen and who did it? You will answer your own question about the war on terror. It is not propaganda my dear, it is very real.
