Is there no way a Ducati 898 could be a starter bike?

If I have never owned a motorcyle before but I feel like I am strong enough to handle the weight of a 898 cycle my first time, can I handle this much speed and performance on my first ever motorcycle?

That depends on your own maturity and intelligence. It has nothing to do with the bike.

The throttle on motorcycle works the same whether the bike is a 250cc, 600cc ,900cc , 1300cc or whatever.
You twist the throttle to go only as fast as you need to. SIMPLE LOGIC, unless you are an idiot.
If you didn't learn how to master such a simple task, then take some safety lessons and track lessons.
