Is there javascript that will fade between panels of html text like a slide show on

a timer? I am looking for a Slideshow Pro alternative which will allow me to fade between panels containing a background image with live html text over it. The html text must be fully customizable (not in a template). Any help would be highly appreciated. I've looked on Jquery and Mootools but still haven't found what I am looking for. Any help would be highly appreciated. If you need more info let me know.
 
JavaFX has demos like that.

Otherwise, MS IE 5+ has behaviors that mimic PowerPoint transitions. If any non-MS browsers visit your site however everything, including the kilowatts was wasted.

Flash was made for this and "wrote the book" for others to follow. JavaFX has yet to honor the promise to include Linux platform authoring, but the code still runs in any browser with the java plug-in.
