Is there going to be a new law passed about permit age?

People are saying that there is going to be a new law passed in January 2008, to where you have to be 18 to get your license.
I am worried and want to know the truth. I'm 14 and I don't turn 15 untill December 27th, and I know as of right now you have to be 15 and a half to get your permit.( I Live in Ohio)
I've been waiting so long to get my license.. It's going to kill me if I have to wait even longer.. haha.

if they are going to change it, i can pretty much guarantee they won't change it that fast. you are turning 15 in like 3 months, and laws aren't passed that quickly without any notification.

i also heard that they were going to do this in florida, but they were saying it only applied to people born after a certain year. for example: everyone born after 1997 (they would now be 11) has to wait until they're 18 for their license. that way people who are like 15 and only weeks away from getting their license can't suddenly be denied one.there would be too much unwillingness in the state for them to do that.

that's just what i've heard and by basic knowledge, though. i doubt they would do this but i'm not like 100 percent positive.
