is there drinking laws in ireland or do they just serve everybody?

im from america california and me and some friends of mine are going on vacation to ireland during the summer we are both 16 and would like to try your irish bars there i heard that they dont really care there about drinking laws like we do here so we should be okay to get alcohol and party with you irish folk right?
everybody knows the irish love the drink thats what u guys r famous worldwide drinking and partying.love you guys you rock
