IS there anyway to make money online from music sharing ?

Something similar to iTunes but not that you have to actually buy it.
Something more like ads, each time you click or play a track the user that created that music gets money, and of course the website hosting the music get's its share of profit.

Is there such thing like i described ?
Does SoundCloud have this feature ?
